In recent years there has arisen a new and deadly form of all-inclusiveness in the church. The clear teachings of the Bible have been distorted and wilfully mixed with secularistic and quasi-religious ideas of the Eastern mystical persuasions. The effect on the church doctrine is the amalgamation of astrology with Christ.
I love the science of astronomy but reject the pranks of astrology. How can the constellation of the stars point to the end of the ages? Even what is the relationship between the Christian faith and the positions of the stars? The conjurers spoke and still, we are here. I wonder aloud what can make the liars coming up with the imagination of their heart admit falsehood. Can the alignments of the planets decide the questions of the end of days?
The end of the age is not a question of speculation. The bible is very clear on this. Let us leave God to speak to us. God has revealed that He is unwilling to let people perishing out of His love for humanity. He may even delay the appointed day and time yet what shall be shall come to pass.
The Lord Jesus Christ made us understand that that day is the deeply kept secret of the Father. So let us keep the faith and fight the good fight with our attention anchored on the Author and Finisher of our faith.
The lesson is to keep your house in order and hope in the salvation of the Lord. We should clean our itching ears and abide in the clear doctrine of Christ. God has promised that we shall not be caught by surprise as a thief in the night comes. The times and seasons are in the power of God to reveal.
